Cemetery Location:  4 miles northwest of Prospect, Virginia.  Go 3.6 miles west 
                    of Prospect, Virginia on Route #626; thence south .4 miles 
                    on private road leading to cemetery.  Cemetery on the west 
                    side of the road.
                    Prince Edward Co., Virginia

OWNERS:

Shepperson family and their descendants, to present date [1937].

DESCRIPTION:

The cemetery is located on a little knoll, to the west of the house and covers 
about one square acre of ground.  It is enclosed by an iron fence and gate.  
There are a number of old inhabitants buried here without markers to the graves, 
most only have small slabs or rocks at head and foot, without any dates or 
inscriptions.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:


We are giving the names of some of the first that were buried in this family 
cemetery, told us by an old lady ninety-four years old, Mrs. Sallie Young, 
Prospect, Virginia.
