Witnesseth that the said Samuel Goode for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and ninety pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said John Ellington the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said John Ellington one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Prince Edward containing by estimation four hundred acres, be the same more or less it being the land and plantation whereon the said Samuel Goode now lives and is bounded by the lines of Jacob Waddill, John Ellington, William Hudson, and Richard Waddill. Together with all houses, woods, waters and water courses thereon, To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and every part and parcel thereof unto the said John Ellington his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Samuel Goode doth for himself and his heirs, executors and administrators defend the said John Ellington and his heirs against the claim of any person or persons whatsoever claiming any right to or in the afore mentioned land and premises. Test Fran Watkins CC This Indenture made this 26th day of June One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Five between Frederick Wells of the county of Prince Edward of the one part and William Ellington of the same county of the other part, Witnessth that the said Frederick Wells for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said William Ellington the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said William Ellington one certain tract or parcel of land lying on the branches of Little Sayler Creek, it being part of the land whereon the said Wells now lives, and bounded by the lines of Thomas Osborne, William Ellington, Jesse Johnson and a new line made by the said Willam Ellington containing by Estimation one hundred acres be the same more or less, To have and to hold the said land with the appertenances unto the said William Ellington his heirs and assigns forever and the said Frederick Wells doth for himself and his heirs the said tract or parcel of land and every part thereof with the appertenances unto the said William Ellington his heirs and assigns against all other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above written. Test Francis Atkins C p. 294 This Indenture made this Sixteenth Day of July One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Seven between John Ellington of Prince Edward County of the one part and John Hutcherson of Amelia County of the other part, Witnesseth that the said John Ellington for and in consideration of the full and just sum of twelve pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted, bargained, and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain, and sell unto the said John Hutcherson one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the Counties of Prince Edward and Amelia containing by estimation eighteen acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows, to wit, Beginning at the road on William Cannons line thence along the said line to William Dalbys line as far as against the said Ellington's fence and along the same a west course to the road thence down the road to the Beginning on Cannon's line, together with all woods, waters and water courses thereon to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and every part and parcel thereof unto the said John Hutcherson his heirs and assigns forever the said John Ellington doth for himself and his heirs, executors and administrators defend the said John Hutcherson and his heirs against the claim of any person or persons whatsoever claiming any right to or in the before mentioned land or premises, In witness whereof the said John Ellington hath hereunto set his hand the day and year above written. Test Francis Atkins C p. 318 This Indenture made the Eighteenth Day of December One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Six between Daniel Ellington of Prince Edward County of the one part and John Ellington of the same county of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Daniel Ellington for and in consideration of the full and just sum of forty three pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said John Ellington the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted, bargained, and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said John Ellington one tract of land lying and being in the county of Prince Edward containing eighty six acres and is bounded as follows, Viz: Beginning on the road opposite to Richard Waddills corner red oak Tuplin, thence a new line S 2, W 20 poles to a pine in his own line thence along his line S 26, W 117 poles to pointers in Waddells line, thence along Waddells line N 9, W 117 poles to the road aforesaid and thence along the said road as it meanders to the first station together with all woods, waters, and water courses thereon to have and to hold the said tract of land and every part and parcel thereof unto the said John Ellington his heirs and assigns forever and the said Daniel Ellington doth for himself and his heirs, executors and administrators defend the said John Ellington and his heirs against the claim of any person or persons whatsoever claiming any right to or in the before mentioned land and premises In witness whereof the said Daniel Ellington hath hereto set his hand the day and year above written.
