This Indenture made this seventeenth Day of September in the year of our

Lord God one thousand seven Hundred and Sixty Eight between Abraham West

of the Parish of saint Patricks in the County of Prince Edward of the
one part and John Blankinship of the Parish and County aforesaid of the
other Part.  Witnesseth that the said Abraham West for and In
Consideration of the sum of Twelve Pounds of Good and lawful money of
Virginia to him in hand Paid by the said John Blankinship, the Receipt
whereof he doth hereby acknowledge, hath Granted, Bargained and Sold,
and by these Presents, Doth Grant, Bargain and sell unto the said John
Blankinship, his heirs & assigns one Certain track or Parcel of Land
Lying and being in the County of Prince Edward Containing by Estimation
Thirty Acres be the same more or Less and bounded as Follows: to wit,
beginning at Mountain Creek at the mouth of Daniel Davison's Spring
Branch, thence up the said Branch to Samuel Burton's Line, thence along
the said line to the said Mountain Creek thence Down the said Creek to
the first beginning.  Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said
Abraham West for and in Consideration of the sum of twelve Pounds hath
Given, Grant, sold and Confirmed and the said Abraham West for himself,
his Heirs, Executors and Administrators Doth by these Presents Give,
Grant, Sell and Confirm unto the said John Blankinship all his Estate
and Interest which he hath in and to the said thirty acres of Land
Together with all and every of its appertances to the said John
Blankinship, his Heirs and Assigns to the only use and behoove of him
the said John Blankinship, his heirs and assigns forever and the said
Abraham West for himself, his heirs, Executors and Administrators and
assigns and Every of them Do Covenant & agree by these presents to and
with the said John Blankinship, his heirs and assigns that the said
Abraham West his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever Defend any
of his heirs or assigns or person or persons whatever from laying any
Claim, right or Title to the said Land and Premises.  For witnesses
whereof the said Abraham West to These present hath hereunto set his
hand and affixed his Seal the Day and Year above written.
