Duvall Arthur M. Duvall, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Duvall, died in the city of Washington on last Sunday from the effects of typhoid fever. The mother who bore him watched at his bedside and ministered to him as only the mother can, but in spite of skill and love he yielded in the unequal struggle. His remains reached Farmville at 5:50 pm and were met at the depot by a large concourse of friends and were taken at once to the family square in our cemetery and now rest by the side of a brother who has gone on before (Inserted by S.E.--this is probably meant as Westview Cemetery the oldest town of Farmville cemetery.). Mr. Duvall was a young man of engaging personality, had won enviable reputation in business circles and was recognized as an accomplished pharmacist. While last at home, he was the picture of good health, was warmly greeted by his many friends and there opened before him a life full of promise and of hope...
