Flippen Death of a Bright Boy Robert, the elder son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Hamlet, died at the home of his parents on Virginia Street, in the 7th year of his age after protracted and painful illness and the funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. W.T. Green of the Methodist, and Rev. H.M. Fugate, of the Baptist churches officiated. The following were pall bearers: H.C. Crute, Harvey Miller, F.M. Bugg, E.R. Booker. All that love and skill could do was done to save the child to home ad friends, but the God who gave hath taken, and even from breaking hearts and blinding tears, nothing remains but to say, "Blessed be the name of the Lord." So long as the child was sick David suffered and could not be comforted but when death came was cheered with the thought that though the dead could not return to him, he could go to join him in the Father's home.
