DEATH OF A VENERABLE LADY

Margaret A. Ligon died "last Friday morning" at her home.  Buried Saturday at 
the family burying ground next to her husband, the late Mr. James Ligon and 
only child, Dorsey, who "died in young manhood".  Dr. Shipman of the Baptist 
church, and Rev. H. Tucker Graham (at the Presbyterian church) officiated.  
She was past 80 years old and a sister of Major A.R. Venable and survived by 
two sisters.
