S.M. Shepherd

Mr. S.M. Shepherd, familiarly known as "Bush" Shepherd died on Thursday of 
last week at his home near Overly.

He was eccentric, but honest and industrious and had the repsect of all who 
knew him...a son not long since preceded him to the grave and three children 
are now ill with typhoid fever, and another son suffered the loss of a hand by 
accident.
