Imprimis - I recommend my Soul to Almighty God who gave it in surely certain hope of a Blessed Resurrection from the Dead and my Body to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner by my hereafter named Executor & as to my Personal Estate I dispose of it and bequeath it in manner and form following . . . . . . . . . . Item - I do give to my Son-in-Law Jacob McGehee and his Heirs forever my Featherbed, with the whole Furniture & bedboard as Likewise whatever belongs to me after my decease. And I do hereby Constitute & appoint the said Jacob McGehee my Son in Law my Sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament. Mary (her M mark) Dejarnatt (seal) Signed Sealed & acknowledged by Mary Dejarnatt to be her Last Will & Testament this 24th Day of April Anno Dominis 1765 in presence of us Christ'r Ford Ja's Garden At a Court held for Prince Edward County the 19th day of Augt 1765, This last Will and Testament of Mary Dejarnatt decd was presented in Court by Jacob McGehee the Executor therein named who made Oath thereto according to law & Proved by the Oath of Christopher Ford one of the witnesses thereto who also made Oath that he Saw Jas Garden sign the name as a Witness whereupon the said Will is as Ordered to be recorded.
