Harrison Cemetery Location: 4 miles southwest of Disputanta, Virginia, on Route #627; thence .3 mile east of Route #627 on private road. Prince George Co., Virginia DATE: 1847. OWNERS: This graveyard was established by William Gee and reserved by the Gee descendants in all deeds on record at Prince George. The property on which this graveyard is located was owned from September 1847 to 1872 by William Gee. It was then inherited by his widow Emily Wiseman Tyler Gee, who in her will dated June 11, 1875, probated in court on January 13, 1876, left it to her son Charles Gee. Charles Gee and his wife Anna Bland sold it to Frederick Lange, Sr. on August 6, 1894. Frederick Lang, Jr. and his wife Annie bought it from his father on October 24, 1907. It was next bought by John A. Hobbs on June 1, 1926. It is now the property of John A. Hobbs estate. [1937] DESCRIPTION: It is in an open field about 200 yards west of the residence, on the farm named “Santa Rose”. It is a lot fifty feet square with no markers but several sunken places indicating there were graves. The wooden fence which encloses it is in very bad condition. Several cedar trees alone stand as marking the spot. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Those known to have been buried here are: William Fee, born in 1810 and died on March 19, 1872 His wife, Emily W.T.T. Fee Their son, Charles Gee It is believed that William Gee’s father Charles, was buried here when the graveyard was first started.
