Harrison Cemetery Location: 2 2/5 miles south of Disputanta, Virginia, on Route #625. .5 mile east of the road. Prince George Co., Virginia DATE: 1840, date of oldest grave. [marker] OWNERS: Louise Rebecca Jane Heath inherited this property from her Aunt, Frances P. Peebles. John Avery as trustee for Louise Rebecca Jane Scarborough (nee Heath) bought it from James W. Scarborough, her husband, (in California) on December 19, 1857. John Mann bought, at commissioners sale, from John Avery’s estate, on May 1, 1880. Robert Henry Sydnor bought from John Mann and his wife Catherine, on June 1, 1881. Andrew Yanoako and wife Mary, the present owners [1937], bought from Joseph Yacko and his wife Annie their one-half interest on March 10, 1910. DESCRIPTION: This graveyard is located in an open field about three-tenths of a mile east of the residence. There are two sections, one thirty feet square and one eight by forty feet, each surrounded by a wire fence. In the narrow space dividing them there stands a magnolia tree. Each has a growth of periwinkle and small aspin trees. There is one marker in each square. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Sacred to the memory of Louise Rebecca Jane Gee Heath wife of James W. Scarborough Born July 4, 1817 Died May 20, 1861 and her daughters Hanna Frances Born Feb. 2, 1840 Died Nov. 30, 1840 Henry Rebecca Born Oct. 18, 1846 Died Nov. 8, 1846 and her father Henry Gee Heath Born 1789 Died 1843 Father & Mother Benjamin F. Heath Born June 17, 1822 Died Feb. 11, 1898 and Martha A. Heath Born Aug. 1, 1822 Died May 20, 1890 Them also which sleep in Jesus Will God bring with Him.
