Hamlin Cemetery Location: 6.5 miles east of Petersburg, Virginia, on Route #36; thence 1.5 miles north on Route #648; thence about .5 mile west of Route #648, in the woods. Prince George Co., Virginia DATE: There are no tombstones and the Family Bible has been misplaced, so the exact dates that these deaths occurred are not known, but Ernest Myers, who is buried here, owned the land in 1797. OWNERS: This graveyard is on the farm of Emmett A. Jackson, who inherited it from his mother and she inherited it from her father, Ernest Myers, who bought it in 1797. [1937] DESCRIPTION: This graveyard has completely grown up in pine trees. There are no tombstones now, wooden markers were used to mark the graves, but they have rotted entirely away. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: It is said that the following people are buried here: Ernest Myers Lettie Myers Billie Myers Harry Myers Ben Myers SOURCES OF INFORMATION: Informant: Emmett A.
