Prince George Co., Virginia DATE: About 1840. OWNERS: A family by the name of Poach. DESCRIPTION: Until very recent years there stood in this field, about three hundred yards north from the highway a clump of cedar trees and heavy undergrowth, which indicated there was once a graveyard. On this same plot of land was once a home, claimed to have belonged to a family named Poach, and this field which contains the graveyard has always been known as Poach’s Field. So it is generally supposed that this was a Poach graveyard. There remains now on the site only one dead cedar tree. {no markers} HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: [blank] SOURCES OF INFORMATION: Informants: R. C. Burrow Dr. W. B.
