Harrison Cemetery Location: 7.3 miles northeast of Disputanta, Virginia on Route #625; thence .2 mile north on Route #616; thence two hundred yards east of Route #616. Prince George Co., Virginia DATE: 1847, date of only marker. OWNERS: Homes Boisseau owned this estate in 1811, the length of time previous to this we have not been able to ascertain. The heirs of Homes Boisseau sold the property to Mathew Williamson Raney, on January 23, 1845. Who sold it to Dr. J.W. Wilson and his wife, H.B. (name unknown) on Oct. 20, 1869. It was sold to Sidney Samuel Clary on Feb. 1, 1886. By his will, dated January 21, 1903 and proved in Prince George court on October 13, 1905, it was inherited by his sons, Thomas Fenner Clary, Hugh Valentine Clary and Roane Alexander Clary. On Oct. 3, 1913, Thomas Fenner Clary bought out his brother’s interest. On Dec. 9, 1930, Thomas Fenner Clary sold the property to Sidney C. Clary, the present owner. [1937] DESCRIPTION: This graveyard is located in an open field, about one hundred yards east of the Boisseau home. It is a plot of ground about seventy feet square, enclosed by a barbwire fence, and heavily grown up in honeysuckle, briers, cedar and gum trees. Judging from the size of the place fenced in, many people are buried here, but only one marker, a horizontal slab, can be found. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Inscription: SACRED to the memory of Mrs. Eliza E. W. Price the affectionate wife of Dr. Henry M. Price Born in Prince George County on the 22nd day of April 1828 Married on the 19th day of January 1847 and died on the 14th day of December 1847 age 19 years These others are known to have been buried here: Mr. and Mrs. Francis Raney and their son Robert Raney, Mrs. Frances Simmons Raney (and it is believed her husband) and Mathew Williamson Raney.
