Harrison Cemetery Location: 1 mile southeast of Carson, Virginia on Route #623 west side of road. Prince George Co., Virginia DATE: Prior to 1860 OWNERS: This graveyard is on an estate which was owned by John Pettway in 1843. It was next owned by William Cain, and is now the property of the Cain descendants. [1937] DESCRIPTION: This graveyard is in an open field about fifty yards south of the old Pettway home. The plot is fifty by sixty feet, containing one tombstone, one walnut tree, one cedar tree and marks of many graves. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Inscription: To the memory of My Aunt Rebecca Rawlings Died July 24, 1860 aged 72 years Erected by Mrs. M. J. Browdee Others known to have been buried in this graveyard are: John Pettway and his wife and their grand-daughter Fannie Turner and her husband William Cain. There are others buried here, names unknown.
