Sydnor family graveyard: 1937 July 13 Research made by Elsie D. Hamlin Cemetery Location: 1.6 miles east of Reams, Virginia, on Route #606; thence .4 mile south on Route #622; thence .1 mile west on private road. Prince George Co., Virginia DATE: 1839. OWNERS: This graveyard is located on the farm of Hunter Young. [1937] DESCRIPTION: This graveyard is about ten feet square. It is marked by old cedar trees and covered with ivy. There are two tombstones, but a number of graves without stones. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Mr. Joseph Wood, the oldest resident in the vicinity, says that the only people he knows of to be buried here within the past seventy years are the ones with tombstones. The inscriptions are as follows: Meet me in Heaven Sarah J. wife of L. R. Sydnor of Dinwiddie County Born in 1839 and died June 17, 1878 in her 39th year Erected by her loving children Brigham son of A. F. and Mary A. Young. Born in Prince George County Aug. 23, 1887 Died Aug. 25, 1887 Our darling hath gone before to greet us on the blessed shore.
