Deed - William T.Temple to James W.Temple (Deed Book 31, Page 128, Prince George County,VA.) This Deed made this 6th day of July in the year one thousand Eight hundred and seventy five between Wm.T.Temple and Caledonia M.Temple his wife of the first part and James W.Temple of the second part. Witnesseth: That in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars by said James W.Temple to said William T.Temple cash in hand paid before the execution of this deed the receipt of which sum is hereby acknowledged the said William T.Temple and wife do grant with general warranty unto the said James W.Temple and his heirs forever the following property to wit: a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Prince George and containing three hundred and forty nine & one half acres more or less with the following boundries to wit: on the North by Warwick Swamp, East by pond branch, South by the lands of Wm.T.Temple and Benjamin E.Figg and on the West by the land of Freeman E.Leath Jr. & Smiths tract of land. Witness the following Signatures and seals. Wm.T.Temple (Seal) Caledonia M.Temple (Seal) State of Virginia, County of Prince George to wit: I George E.Rives a Notary Public in and for the State and County aforesaid do certify that Wm.T.Temple whose name is signed to the writing hereto annexed bearing date the 6th day of July in the year one thousand Eight hundred and seventy five has acknowledged the same before me in my County aforesaid. Given under my hand this 6th day of July in the year one thousand Eight hundred and seventy five. Geo.E.Rives Notary Public State of Virginia, County of Prince George to wit: I George E.Rives a Notary Public in and for the State and County aforesaid do Certify that Caledonia M.Temple the wife of Wm.T.Temple whose names are signed to the writing hereto annexed bearing date the 6th day of July in the year one thousand Eight hundred and seventy five personally appeared before me in the County aforesaid and being by me examined privily and apart from her husband and having the writing aforesaid fully explained to her she the aforesaid Caledonia M.Temple acknowledged the said writing to be her act and deed and declared that she had willingly executed the same and does not wish to retract it.
