Temple/Temple Deed, 1724 - Prince George Co. VA (Deeds etc. 1713-28, page 744, Prince George Co.VA.) THIS INDENTURE made the Seventh day of September, in the year of our Lord one Thousand, Seven hundred and twenty and four, & in the seventh year of the reign of our Soveraign Lord George by the grace of God of Great Brittain, France and Ireland king Defender of the faith etc. Between William Temple Senr. and Rebecca his wife of the County of Prince George and in Bristoll Parrish of the one part,and Thomas Temple his son in the County and parrish aforesaid, of the other part witnesseth, that whereas the said William Temple Senr. and Rebecca his wife doth give & make over unto Thomas Temple & his heirs, Executors, Admrs. or assigns, a certain tract or parcel of Land containing one hundred and twenty six Acres, more or Less, Lying and being on the South side of the Warwick Swamp as ___ have bound it being part of a great tract of Land taken up and pattented by this said William Temple, and is bounded as in the said Deed is mentioned. To Have and to hold the said Land and premisses with the appurtenances unto the Thomas Temple his heirs, Exrs. Admrs. to them and every of them, to the intent that by virtue thereof, and of the Statute for transferring uses into possession the said Thomas Temple might be in the actual possession of the said Land and premisses, and be enabled to take and accept of the reversion and inheritance thereof to the use of him the s'd. Thomas Temple his heirs and assigns for ever, as by the said recited Deed of Gift where William Temple Senr. and Rebecca his wife doth acknowledge the receipt thereof, hath granted, remised and confirmed, and doth by these presents grant, remise and confirm unto this said Thomas Temple in his actuall possession now being by virtue of the said recited Deed of Gift made to him the said Thomas Temple and to his heirs, Exrs. and Admrs. or assigns for ever the aforesaid Land and premisses with the appurtenances, and all the Estate, Titles, interest, claim and Demand whatsoever of this said William Temple Senr. and Rebecca his wife in and to the same and every part thereof, and the Reversion and Reversions thereof, remainder and remainders thereof and of every part thereof. To Have and to Hold the said and premises with the appurtenances unto the said Thomas Temple his heirs and assigns for ever to the only use and behoof of the said Thomas Temple his heirs and assigns for ever, and the said William Temple Senr. and Rebecca his wife covenanteth for themselves and their heirs to warrant and defend the Land & premisses with the appurtenances and every part thereof unto the said Thomas Temple and his heirs and assigns for ever.
