Will of William Bishope, 1718 - Prince George Co.VA. Will of william Bishope - 1718 (Deeds etc. 1713-28, page 258, Prince George Co.VA.) In The Name of God, Amen. September the third, one thousand seven hundred and Eighteen. I William Bishope of the Parrish of Waynoke in Prince George County being of sound and perfect sense and memory praised be given to God for the same, do make constitute ordain and Declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, First being sorry from the Bottom of my heart for my sins past an ask humbly Desiring forgiveness for the same, I give and commit my soul to Almighty God my Saviour and redeemer in whom and by the merritts of Jesus Christ I trust and assuredly believe to be saved, and my body to the Earth to be buried in such Decent manner as my Executor hereafter named shall think meet, and for what worldly Estate it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I Dispose thereof as followeth.- Imprimis.I will that all my just Debts be punctually paid and satisfied. Item. I give and bequeath to my cozen John Bishope my cloth at the Taylors and the Breeches belonging to it. Item. I give to my Brother Henry Bishope one cow. Item. I give to my Brother James Bishope my old Mair Sadle and Bridle. Item. I give to my cozen William Bishope my Gunn & Sword now in his possession. Item. I give to Mason Bishope all the remaining part of my Estate in what nature or Quantity whatsoever it may be found after my Debts and Legacys justly paid & I do desire that my Estate may not be appraised. And lastly I ordain my Loving Mother Executor of this my Last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I have set my hand and seal to this my Will and Testament the Day & year first herein written. The above Last Will and Testament of William Bishope Dece'd. was presented into Court by Sarah Bishope the Executrix therein named who made oath thereto, and it being proved by the oaths of William Harrison & John Bishope Junr. witnesses thereto is by order of the Court truly Recorded and a Certificate is granted the said Executrix for obtaining a probate in due form.
