Will of Thany English, 1722 - Prince George Co. VA. (Deeds etc. 1713-28, page 547, Prince George Co.VA.) THE LAST WILL and Testament of Thany English taken in Writting this nineteenth day of October Annoq'd 1721, who departed this Life the Eighteenth day of the said month & date, but made his Will verbally the thirteenth day of the said month October, Annoq'd. 1721.- Item. I give and bequeath my Estate of fourteen pounds current mony of Virginia to my coz. Richard Hicks, who is now under the care of his uncle Richard Ingrum thirteen pounds of which is in the hands of the said Richard Ingrum, and twenty shillings in the hands of Edward Wood of the County of Charles City.- Item. My Desire is that the said Richard Ingrum my coz.give me a decent burial and likewise have the keeping of the above said Sum of mony till my abovesaid coz. Richard Hicks come to Lawfull age to possess the same according to my desire. October the 19th day Annoq'd. 1721. Test Benjamin Reekes Martha Poindexter At a Court held at Merchants Hope for Prince George County on the second Tuesday in June, being the twelfth day of the said month. Anno Dom: 1722.- The above written noncupative Will of Thany English dec'ed. was presented into Court by Richard Ingrum, and there being no Executor appointed in the s'd. Will the said Richard Ingrum made oath thereto, and it being proved by the oaths of Benjamin Reekes and Martha Poindexter Witnesses thereto, is by order of the Court truly recorded and on the motion of the said Richard Ingrum and his giving security according to Law, Certificate is granted him for obtaining Letters of Administration with the said Will annexed in due form.- Test Wm.
