16 Jan 1790 - Will of Ann Isham Gordon
To Elizabeth McNeil ("who has lived with me upwards of 40 years and has been a 
faithful friend and servant during all that time") use of following slaves for 
her lifetime: Molly and her children and Ansick her mother.
To William Yates, eldest son of late Col. William Yates, negro girl Annika.
To Benjamin Poythress Yates, second son of Col. Yates, negro boy Peter 
(Sally's brother).
To my niece Mary Muir, my negro woman Sally, and her child to youngest 
daughter of said niece.
To William Poythress Muir, eldest son of my said niece, negro boy David.
To Margaret Muir, daughter of my niece, negro girl Betsy (Sally's sister).
To William Ramsey Wilson, son of Mr. William Wilson, my girl Nancy.
To Lucy Gordon, daughter of John Gordon, dec'd, negro girl Lucy (Hannah's 
daughter) also large silver soup spoon, 6 silver tablespoons, 4 silver salts, 
and my gold watch.
To my friend Mr. Thomas Gordon, negro boy Joe (Dinah's son). 
Out of the rest of my slaves my sister Elizabeth Ramsay is to choose 2 young 
negroes for the children of my niece Elizabeth Potts; sister is also to choose 
a negro for each of her sons. Sister Ramsay to have Elizabeth NcMeil's slaves 
at the latter's death.
To friends Thomas Griffin Peachy and Elizabeh Peachy, £25.
All the rest of the estate to dear sister Elizabeth Ramsay.
Executors: Friends Thomas Gordon and Thomas Griffin Peachy.
Witnesses: Eleanor Craine, Elizabeth Mills Fraser, Susanna Cox.
