Will of Rebecca Limbrey, 1720 - Prince George Co. VA (Deeds etc. 1713-28, page 406, Prince George Co.VA.) In the name of God, Amen, I Rebecca Limbry of Waynoke Parrish in Prince George County being very sick and weak in body, but thanks be to Allmighty God of sound mind and memory, praise be therefore to Almighty God, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say, First I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God, hopeing through the merritts death & passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ, to have full & free pardon & forgiveness of all my Sins, and to Inherrit Everlasting Life, and as touching the disposition of such Temporall Estate as it hath pleased to bestow upon me, I give and dispose thereof as followeth. First. I will that all my Debts & funeral charges shall be paid & discharged. Item. I give unto my Mother Elizabeth Limbry my Land and plantation whereon I now live, w'ch. my Father John Limbry gave me, makeing no wai___ dureing her natural Life. Item. I give unto my cousen John Limbry Wilkins, all my Land & plantation whereon I now live, which my Father John Limbry gave me, being a hundred and thirty Eight Acres, be it more or less, to him and his heirs for ever, and to have and enjoy the said Land and plantation after my Mother Limbry's decease. Item. I give unto my cosen Rebecca Wilkins, one of my Gold rings. Item. I give unto my cosen Ame Loftin the other of my Gold rings. Item. I give unto my Mother Elizabeth Limbrey all my Worldly Goods & chattels after my Debts and Legacys is paid, & funerall charges, and I do appoint my dear and Loveing Mother Elizabeth Limbry my whole and sole Executrix, to see this my Last Will and Testament performed, as withess my hand & Seal this 28th day of April in 1720. The above written Last Will and Testament of Rebecca Limbrey dec'ed. was presented into Court by Elizabeth Limbrey her Executrix who made oath thereto and it being proved by the oaths of Thomas Collier, Gilbert Gray and Samuel Maget witnesses thereto, is by order of the Court truly recorded, and on the motion of the said Elizabeth Limbrey and her giveing Security according to Law Certificate is granted her for obtaining a probate of the said Will in due form.
