A native of Chowan County, N.C., and retired farmer, he had resided here 35 years. His late parents were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Twine. He was a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church. Besides his wife, surviving are four sons, John W. Twine, of Great Bridge; Endo L Twine, of South Norfolk; Joseph C. Twine, of Elizabeth City, and W.E. Twine of Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. B. E. Saunders and a Mrs. Parker, both of Glenrock, Princess Anne County; two sisters, Mrs. E.B. Dail, of Elizabeth City, and Mrs. O. Saunders, of Norfolk; 15 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
