Morton Cemetery Location: 6 miles north of Haymarket, Virginia, on Route #601, thence 1 mile east on the same road. Prince William Co., Virginia DATE: Unknown. OWNERS: Burwell Tyler Forsythe Forsythe heirs to 1907 Thomas Smith 1907 to present (1937) DESCRIPTION: (A description of the house and gardens has not been recanted in this space but can be located in the original document at the Library of Virginia.) Some 300 feet to the west of the house is the graveyard, a .25 acre, covered with English Ivy and filled with box and other shrubs. There are numerous graves that have no inscriptions. Some are soldiers graves. Inscriptions: In memory of James Forsythe Born May 24th, 1804 died February 24th, 1886 aged 81 years Cecelia B. Forsythe died Dec. 30th, 1870 aged 80 years Jane C.
