All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ==================================================================== Indenture between Burr Barton and Elizabeth his Wife of the County of Prince William in the Colony of Virginia, Planter, of the one Part, and Edward Feagan of the County and Colony aforesaid, Planter, of the other Part; for consideration of Fifteen Pounds Current Money of the said Colony to them paid by Feagan, Barton and wife acquit Feagan and grant to him in actual possession by livery and seisin and by virtue of a bargain and sale, one certain Tract or Parcel of Land scituate lying and being in the Parish of Hambleton in the County of Prince Willism and Colony of Virginia, and on the North Side of Bulrun Mountain being that Tract whereon the aforesaid Burr Barton now lives and which joins on the Lands of Mary Beevins and Benjamin Drummond near the said Mountain, Containing three hundred Acres of Land according to the several Courses of the Patent to the said Burr Barton for the said Tract or Parcel of Land, together with all singular the Improvements, Rights, Members, Priviledges, Advantages. Burr Barton (his mark and seal) Eliza Barton (her mark and seal) Witnessed by: John Young, Constable; Catherine Roach; and Andrew Dalton Received of Edward Feagan the Sum of fifteen Pounds Current Money of Virginia being the Consideration mentioned to be paid in the within Deed before the executing the said Deed, Witness our hands the ___ day of September 1741. This Release with Receit endorsed were proved by the Oaths of John Young, Catherine Roach and Andrew Dalton to be the Acts and Deeds of Burr Barton and Elizabeth the Wife of the said Burr Barton (being first privately examined) acknowledged the same to be her Acts and Deeds and they were thereupon admitted to Record. Indenture between John Feagan of St. Andrews Parish and County of Brunswick, Eldest Son and Heir of Edward Feagan, late of the County of Prince William in the Colony of Virginia, Planter, deceased, of the one part, and Alexander Waugh, of St. Marks Parish and County of Oranage of the other part; for consideration of five Shillings Sterling to Feagan by Sterling, Feagan leases to Waugh all that and those the several Tracts and Parcels of Land situate lying and being at or near the Bull Run Mountains in the Parish of Hamilton and County of Prince William afsd. herein after mentioned that is to say One Tract containing nine hundred and sixty Acres with the Appurtenances purchased by the said Edward Feagan from Enoch Innis, One other Tract containing three hundred Acres with the Appurtenances purchased by the said Edward Feagan from Burr Barton of them or to the Land of John Mercer, granted to the said Edward Feagan by the Proprietor of the Northern Neck of Virginia, and all Plantations, messuages, Tenements, Houses, edifices...for the Term of one whole Year...Yeilding and paying therefore one Ear of Indian Corn in and upon the Feast of Saint Michael the Arch Angel if the same shall be lawfully demanded...
