The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Deed Book D, Page 36 Prince William County, Virginia Power of Attorney: John West, 1737: Prince William County, Virginia Know all men by these presents that, I, John West of Truro Parish in Prince William County in Virginia have assigned, ordained & made & in my stead & place, have put & constituted my loving wife, Mary West, to be my true and lawful attorney, for me in my name and to my use to ask, sue & or levy, require, recover & receive of all and every person or persons whatsoever all & every of all debts, rents & sums of money & tobacco as are now due unto me or when at any day or days, time or times hereafter shall be due, owing, belonging or appertaining to me by any manner, of ways or means whatsoever. Giving & granting unto my said attorney by the tenor of these presents my full & whole power, strength & authority in and about the promises & upon the receipt of any such debts, rents & sums of money & tobacco, acquitances or other discharges for me & in my name, to make, seal & deliver and all and every other act & acts, thing or things, device and devices in the law whatsoever, needful & necessary to be done in or about the promises for the recovery of any such debts, rents & sums of money & tobacco for me & in my name, to do, execute and perform as fully largely & amply in every respect to all intents, construction & purposes as I my self might or could do if I were personally present, ratifying, allowing & hold firm & stable, all and whatsoever my said attorney shall lawfully do or cause to be done in or about the execution of the same by virtue of these presents.
