Deed Book 4, pg. 207-209 This Indenture made this first day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and Ten. Between JOHN LYNN and SARAH his wife of the County of Prince William in the Commonwealth of Virginia of the one part and CONSTANT CORNWELL of the County and Commonwealth afsd. of the other part, Witnesseth that the said JOHN LYNN and SARAH his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand paid by the CONSTANT CORNWELL the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereoff do acquit and discharge the said CONSTANT CORNWELL Her Heirs Exors. and admn. by these presents they the said JOHN LYNN and SARAH his wife have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said CONSTANT CORNWELL her heirs and assigns a certain piece or parcel l of Land in the County of Prince William aforesaid containing Fifty four and a quarter acres, it being part of the Tract of Land willed to me by my father MICHAEL LYNN the said Fifty four and a quarter acres of Land by this Deed conveyed, has been laid of on the southeast end of the above mentioned Tract will’d to me by the said MICHAEL LYNN as p. survey of DANIEL GRANT beginning at A a Make in the Occoquan Road thence So. 51 degrees East 16 poles to B BERRYMAN’s line thence with sd. Line So. of 4 degrees East 87 poles to C several marked saplings then leaving sd. line No. 16 degrees East 60 poles to D at the Bank of Powells Run thence up sd. Run and Binding therewith to E an elm at the mouth of a Branch thence So. 50 d. W 22 poles to F a wild cherry thence So. 4 d. East 48 poles to G a stake in the edge of s. Occoquan Road thence with the road to the Beginning. including 54 acres of one Road by calculation and all houses profits advantages Hereditaments, ways Waters with the appurtanances of every kind to the said CONSTANTINE CORNWELL her heirs and assigns for ever the aforesaid Fifty four & 1/4 acres with all and every advantage in any wise appurtaining to have and to hold the aforesaid bargened premises with their appurtinances unto the said CONSTANT CORNWELL her heirs and assigns, to the only proper use and behoof of her the said CONSTANT CORNWELL and of her heirs and assigns forever and lastly the aforesaid JOHN LYNN for himself his heirs Exrs. and Admn. doth warrant and forever defend the aforesaid bargened premises with their appurtinances unto the said CONSTANT CORNWELL her heirs Exrs. Admrs. and assigns against all claim of any person or persons whatsoever in Witness whereoff the said JOHN LYNN and SARAH his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the Day Month and year above written. Beginning at A a stake in the Occoquand Road thence S51E16 poles to B BERYMAN’s line thence with sd. line S74E87 poles to C Several marked saplings then leaving sd. line N.16E60 pol. to D the Bank of Powells run thence up sd. DANIEL GRANT Aug. 17th 1810 The above is a survey of the Land sold by me to Mrs. CONSTANTINE CORNWELL Sept. 1st 1810 agreeable to the above deed to which this platt is annexed witnesseth my hand and seal.
