He was born in 1756. He served as a private in Captain Valentine Peyton's company, Virginia Militia March 9, 1785. He died May 27, 1836. He married Lydia Cooksey or Calvert, probably Lydia Calvert Cooksey, as she was the was the widow of Obediah Cooksey, according to one affidavit. The children of George and Lydia Mills were John Dyson, born 1785; Catherine, born 1789, who married ____ Russell; and Anne, born 1795, who married John Woodward.
