Tyler Disappeared Haymarket, Va., Aug. 29. -- Ben. C. Tyler, a well known young Virginian and a native of Prince William county, while in an unbalanced state of mind from over-work, disappeared from his home in Perry, N. Y., on Aug. 16, and his family and friends, after a search lasting from the time of his disappearance up to the present, have been unable to find him. Mr.Tyler's is one of the best known families in Northern Virginia. He is a son of the late Robert H. Tyler of Prince William county and is a first cousin of W. H. Tyler of Washington, D. C., general passenger agent of the Southern Railway. For several years Ben. Tyler has lived in Bellaire, Ohio, where he became the head of the plate-mill department of the Carnegie Steel Company in that city. he married a young lady from Bellaire and now has a family of four children. Recently he resigned his position with the Carnegie company to enter the mercantile business in Perry, N. Y., moving to that city on August 1. Sixteen days later he disappeared. It is thought that Mr. Tyler has started to walk to this home in Virginia. He is thirty-nine years of age, weighing about 135 pounds, and of slight build; dark hair and eyes dark. He had a mustache when leaving home, and probably may have grown a dark beard by this time. When he left he wore a dark gray suit, with a black derby hat. ----------------------------------------------------------------- File contributed for use by the USGenWeb Archives by Carol Phillips phillips@sundial.net ************************************************************************ USGENWEB ARCHIVES NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by any other organization or persons.
