FROM THE PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VIRGINIA 
COURTHOUSE REGISTER OF DEATHS - 1864*

Virginia Prince William County to wit
	I W. C. Merchant Commissioner of the Revenue for the County 
of Prince William in the state aforesaid solemnly swear that, in 
ascertaining and recording the deaths which occurred in my 
District for the year 1864, I pursued the directions of the act 
entitled "an act covering the Registration of Births, Marriages 
and deaths" passed April 11, 1853 and the amendment to said act 
according to the best of my skill and judgment, given under my 
hand this 2nd day of July 1866.
