Bradshaw, Kenrick Montague Will - 1953 - Prince William Co., VA ------------------------------------------------ Will of KENRICK MONTAGUE BRADSHAW, SR. July 18th., 1953 I, Kenrick M. Bradshaw, Senior of Brentsville, Virginia being in full control of my mental faculties do hereby make this my final will and testament. After all of my just debts have been paid I wish to make the following disposition of my property. I hereby will my share of the real estate, including the dwelling and the land connected therewith at Brentsville, Virginia to my son, Bolivar N.(Nelson) Bradshaw. I leave to my sons, Murray W.(Wickliffe) Bradshaw, Kenrick M.(Montague) Bradshaw, Jr. and my daughter, Virginia E.(Elizabeth) Spencer all monies in banks to be divided equally between the aforementioned parties. Witnesses: Bennie J. Breeden Harry A. Visger Ethel I. Breeden (signed) Kenrick M. Bradshaw, Sr. (Will Book 14, pg.47 B) Virginia: IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE OF THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE COUNTY OF PRINCE WILLIAM, JANUARY 18, 1958. It appearing to the clerk of the aforesaid Court that Kenrick Montague Bradshaw, Senior, white, widowed, died testate on January 4, 1958, in Purcellville, Virginia; that the said Kenrick Montague, Senior, at the time of his death had a mansion house and known place of residence at Brentsville, Prince William County, Virginia; and now on this January 18, 1958, a paper writing bearing date of July 18, 1953, purporting to be the true last will and testament of Kenrick Montague Bradshaw, Senior, is produced before the aforesaid Clerk in his office and proved according to law by the oaths of Bennie J. Breeden and Ethel I. Breeden, two of the attesting witnesses (Harry A. Visger, the other witness, not being available) who first being duly sworn, deposed that the said Kenrick Montague Bradshaw, Senior, had signed the said writing in their presence as and for his true last will and testament; all of them being present at the same time and they at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other had signed the same as attesting witnesses and that the said Kenrick Montague Bradshaw, Senior at the time of the execution of the said will was of sound mind and disposing memory and fully capable of making a valid will. On motion of Bolivar N. Bradshaw, son and Executor named in said will, the writing is admitted to probate as and for the true last will and testament of the said Kenrick Montague Bradshaw, Senior, deceased, and ordered to be recorded. Bolivar N. Bradshaw having this day appeared in person before the aforesaid Clerk in his office and qualified as such Executor by entering into bond conditioned according to law in the penalty of Seventy-four Hundred Dollars ($7400.00), with United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company as his surety, and the said Bolivar N. Bradshaw made oath that the said writing admitted to record contains the true last will and testament of Kenrick Montague Bradshaw, Senior, deceased, so far as he knows or believes and that he will faithfully perform the duties of his office to the best of his ability, whereupon certificates were granted the said Bolivar N. Bradshaw for obtaining letters of probate of the said will in due form........
