At my death I give to my wife Nancy Bridwell my mansion House and one hundred and fifty acres of land, whereon I now reside also thirty acres of Woodlands near the Avenstone Tract to have and to hold for and during her natural life, and at her death I wish daughter Lettishia Bridwell to have one half the said tract of land cut off the south side with the dwelling House and servants houses on it, to have and hold for and during her natural life. 2. At my death I give to wife Nancy Bridwell one half my Household and Kitchen furniture and one Milk cow for and during her natural life. 3. At my death I give to my Son Charles H. Bridwell all the rents that is due me on my Stafford lands to him and his heirs forever. 4. At my death I give to my daughter Nancy Suthard and her husband William L. Suthard, the tract of land whereon they now reside containing one hundred and fourteen acres more or less to them and their heirs forever. 5. At my death I give to my three Sons Haywood, Albert and Peter Bridwell and my two daughters Eliza and Diadama Herndon the wives of George W. and Haywood Herndon, all the personal property and real estate of which I may be possessor not herein devised, to them and their heirs forever share and share alike. 6. It is my wish and desire that at the death of my wife Nancy Bridwell and at the death of my daughter Lettishia Bridwell, should she die without bodily issue, the property to them bequeath be divided between the above named Haywood, Albert, and Peter Bridwell and Eliza and Diadama Herndon to them and their heirs forever. 7. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Haywood Bridwell, Executor of this my last will and testament.
