Will date 8 October 1792; Probate date 6 July 1795

   In the name of God amen October 8th 1792 I William Lynn
of the parish of Dettengin and County of Prince William
being unwell at this time, and knowing the uncertainty of
Life do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in
manner and form as followeth.  Impv:  I commending soul to
almighty God who gave it and my Body to the earth from
whence it came to be decently buried at the Discretion of My
Executor and hereafter named.  I Item as for my worldly
goods that God hath bestoed on me I give and bequeath as
followeth.  Item I give and bequeath to my three youngest
daughters as followeth; To Jenny Lynn one feather bed to be
paid her at the day of Marriage, to Prudence Linn one
feather bed and a Cow & Calf to be paid at the day of
Marriage, to Elizabeth Lynn one feather bed and a cow and
calf to be paid at the Day of Marriage.  Item I give and
bequeath to my son Joseph Lynn, a Cow and Calf to be paid
when he shall arrive to lawful age.  Item I give and
bequeath to my two Grandsons, Thornton, and Benson Lynn, the
land whereon John Lynn now lives, so much as lies between
the fork of the road belonging to the Old Tract equally to
be divided between them at the Death of my wife Elizabeth
Lynn.  Item I give and bequeath to my son William Lynn the
lease of the plantation where I live to possess at the death
of myself and wife; & to the rest of my land & adjoining to
the place before mentioned, I leave to be sold at the Death
of My wife Elizabeth Lynn and in case of her Death in the
minority of my youngest Daughter the land shall remain to be
sold when my  youngest Daughter shall be of lawful age, for
twelve months Redit with Bonds and good Security; and as to
the rest of my Estate, I leave it all to my loving wife
during her widowhood to be equally to be divided Between my
living children excepting my sons John and William Lynn at
her death or marriage.  Item I do appoint my loving wife,
and my sons, Nehemiah and William Lynn Executors of this my
last Will and Testament.  Signed with my hand and sealed in
presence of

   At a Court held for Prince William County the 6th day of
July 1795.  This last Will and Testament of William Lynn
Deceased was presented to the Court and being proved by the
oaths of George Coppen and Elizabeth Jackson was ordered to
be recorded.  And at a Court held for the said County the
7th day of September 1795, William Lynn one of the Executors
named in this last Will and Testament made oath to the same,
and having taken the Oath of an Executor and Given Bond with
Security according to Law, Certificate & Granted him for
obtaining a probate thereof in due form and cause is
reserved to the other Executors to qualify to the said Will
hereafter if they think proper.
