Biography of Henry H. Huddle - Pulaski Co. VA HENRY H. HUDDLE-born in 1838, is one of the twelve children of Henry and Nancy (ELZY) HUDDLE. His father was born in Wythe County, Virginia, and raised his family in that county. In the county of his birth, in 1860, Henry H. HUDDLE was joined in wedlock with Sarah E. HURT, who was born in Wythe county in 1839, a daughter of Berry and Margaret (BAKER) HURT. In the years that have elapsed since their marriage ten children have been born to Mr. and Mrs. HUDDLE, namely: Laura A. (JOHNSON), 1861; George K., 1863, deceased; Martha J., 1865; John D., 1868; Naomi M., 1870; Calhoun D., 1872; Stephen G., 1874; Tilden, 1876; Lucy P., 1878; James David, 1882. Henry H. HUDDLE was a contractor for the Confederate States during the existence of that government. His wife lost a brother in that war, who fell for his State in the engagement at Leesburg. In 1871 Mr. HUDDLE cast his fortunes in with the people of Pulaski county, and he has a blacksmithing establishment, with postoffice address at Drapers Valley, Pulaski county, Virginia.
