Biography of William M. Hudson - Pulaski Co. VA William M. HUDSON-was born in Pulaski County, December 23,1826, son of Isaac and Clementina (MINOR) HUDSON. When he was an in-fant his mother was carried across the mountains in a basket while her parents were escaping from the Indians. Her parents came from Pennsylvania, and settled in Augusta county, Virginia, where she lived till her marriage with Isaac Hudson, when they came to Montgomery county, which. was their home till death. During the 1812 war Isaac Hudson was detailed as a fuller, and assisted in the manufacture of clothing through the entire war. In Wythe county, Virginia, November 19, 1850, William M. Hudson married E. M. YONCE, who was born in Wythe county, March 12, 1829, daughter of John P. and Allie YONCE. The children, of Mr. and Mrs. HUDSON are nine; all living in this county: Lucy Y., born April 6, 1854; T. D., June 6 , 1855; Charles, October 2, 1857; Fanny M., November 3, 1859; Allie M., December 2, 1863; William R. November 20, 1865; Laura C., November 30, 1867; Edith R., May 4, 1869; Jennie Kate, November 15, 1870. Mr. HUDSON served through the entire war between the States as a member of General Breckinridge's corps of engineers, enrolled in the Forty-Fifth Virginia Infantry. He was a participant among other battles in the six days fight before Richmond. He is now a farmer, living in Dublin district. His brother James R. occupies the house in which his father lived, which is still in a good state of repair and 124 years old. It was built in 1780 by David LOVE. Mr. Hudson receives his mail at Dublin, Pulaski county, Virginia.
