Baskerville/Dorst Debt, 1842 - Pulaski Co. VA Know all men by these presents, that we George W. Baskerville and John B. Baskerville & John C. Dorst are held and firmly bound unto W. & S. Wyman Nine hundred Two dollars and Sixteen cents, to be paid unto the said W. & S. Wyman or their certain attorney, their executors, administrators or assigns, to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves jointly and severally, and each of our joint and several heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 24th day of October 1842. THE CONDITION of the above obligation is such, that whereas the aforesaid W. & S. Wyman hast sued out of the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Superior Court of Law & Chancery of Pulaski county, a writ of Fieri Facias against the goods and chattels of the above bound George W. Baskerville which writ, with the legal costs attending the same, amounts to the sum of Four hundred & fifty-one dollars and eight cents. And whereas Joseph J. Graham Deputy Sheriff for Randolph Fugate High Sheriff of Pulaski county, by virtue of the said writ, to the said Sheriff directed, hath taken the following property belonging to the said George W. Baskerville to satisfy the same to wit: Twenty horses And the said George W. Baskerville being desirous of keeping the said property in his possession and at his risk until the day of the sale of the same, hath tendered the above bond John B. Baskerville and John C. Dorst as security for the forthcoming and delivery of the same on the day and at the place of sale, agreeable to an act of the Assembly in that case made and provided. Now if the above bound George W. Baskerville & John B. Baskerville & John C. Dorst or either of them shall and do well and truly deliver the said aforesaid property to the said Sheriff or either of his deputies at Pulaski Court House on the first day of December Court next, that being the time and place appointed for the sale of the same, then the above obligation to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue.
