Jury List for Cecil Trial, 1859 - Pulaski Co. VA

The Commonwealth of Virginia.
To the Sheriff of Pulaski County, Greeting.
We command you to summon Twenty-four good and lawful freeholders of said County, residing remote 
from the place where the offense is charged to have been committed, to appear before the Judge 
of the Circuit Court of Pulaski County on the first day of April Term Next, to recognize on 
their oaths whether Gordan Cecil be guilty of a Felony in this, that Gordan Cecil of the said 
County on the first day of May 1858, in the said County did assult, strike, beat, stab, and 
maim with intent to Kill, Abram Odel of the said County, or not":  And have then there this 
writ,  Witness Lynch A. Currin, Clerk of our said Court at the Court House this 14th day of 
January, 1859 in the 83rd year of the Commonwealth.
