Attempted Murder of Hannah Page, 1892 In the County Court of the County of Pulaski, COUNTY OF PULASKI, TO-WIT: The GRAND JURORS of the Commonwealth of Virginia, for the body of the County of Pulaski and now attending said Court at its May term, in the year 1892 on their oaths present that Walter Page on the 8th day of October, in the year one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one in the said County and within the jurisdiction of the said County Court of the County of Pulaski, (he the said Walter Page being then and there armed with a certain pistol loaded with gun powder and leaden bullets) one Hannah Page, feloniously, willfully and of his malice aforethought did attempt to kill and murder, by then and there feloniously and maliciously aiming the said pistol at her, the said Hanah Page, and by feloniously and maciliciously discharging and shooting off the said pistol, at her the said Hannah Page, within the distance at which the said pistol would shoot and do execution with intent, thereby, then and there feloniously, willfully and of his malice aforethought, the said Hannah Page to kill and murder-- against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth of Virginia Judge Furlisses Sum.
