Fugate Deed, 1805 Jim William H. Cabell Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia To all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting: Know Ye. That by virtue of an Exchanged Treasury Warrant number seventeen hundred and fifty two issued the 18th July 1805 there is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto Randal Fugate------A certain Tract or Parcel of Land, containing three hundred acres by survey Bearing date the twentieth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and five, lying and being in the county of Wythe, on the waters of New river and bounded as followeth, to wit. Beginning at a maple corner to the land of William Harrato, thence S 75 W 82 poles to a red oak and white oak sapling, thence due South 96 poles to a small black oak on the top of a knol, S 56 W 42 poles to a black oak, S 35 E 38 poles to a black oak. N 24 E 22 poles to a stooping chesnut oak corner to the land of James Black. And E 168 poles to two white oaks and a red oak corner to said Black's land S 92 E 85 poles to two white oaks corner to said Fugate's patent land, N 49 E 60 poles to two black oaks corner to the same. N 53 W 94 poles to two small black oaks. N 25 W 60 poles to two small black oaks, N 60 E 100 poles to two white oaks and a hickory and thence N 56 W 225 poles to the beginning. In Witness whereof, the said William H.
