Obituary of Herman Edward Kirchner, 1981 - Pulaski Co. VA SW TIMES March 16, 1981 Herman Edward KIRCHNER, 82, of Medallion Drive, Pulaski, died Monday in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Spencer, W.Va., Dec. 14, 1898, he was the son of the late Herman E. KIRCHNER and Lillie SIMMONS KIRCHNER. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski; Kiwanis Club; BPOE Lodge No. 1067, Pulaski; American Legion; a lifetime member of the Pulaski Chamber of Commerce, and board member of the American Red Cross. Surviving are his wife, Cecile DIX KIRCHNER; six sisters, Mrs. Julia REXROAD, Tioga, W.Va., Mrs. Evelyn HIMLER, Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Irene CRISLIP, Elizabeth, W.Va., Mrs. Madelyn BOSEMAN, Suitland, Md., and Mrs. Corrinne JOHNSON, and Mrs. Joan SHORES, both of Rockville, Md., and three brothers, George W. KIRCHNER and Peter KIRCHNER, both of Pulaski, and Robert KIRCHNER, Three Rivers, Mich. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J.N. Howard and the Rev. Tom Seay officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be today at Stevens Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials to the First United Methodist Church Chapel Fund or the New River Valley Rescue Squad.
