Will of Elijah Breeding, 1875 - Pulaski Co., Va. (son of Spencer Breeding, Jr. and Winifred Hurst) I Elijah Breeding of the County of Pulaski and State of Virginia being of Sound mind and in view of the approach of death do make and publish this my last Will and testament revoking all other Wills, Testaments and Codicils. I do will that my wife Sarah E. Breeding shall have have hold and control during the period of her natural life the tract of land upon which I now reside At her death the sd land is to descend to my two children George W. Breeding and Spencer Breeding should my wife Sarah E. Breeding outlive my two children above named George W. and Spencer Breeding then the land to be held in fee simple Further [illegible] that all crops Rents and productions of sd land shall be used and expended by my said wife Sarah E. Breeding for the sole use and maintenance of herself and my children George W. and Spencer Breeding. Said Land lies in the County of Pulaski and State of Virginia, on the waters of New River and adjoins the lands of Rebecca Calfee C. P. Williams and the Heirs of Joseph Tipton and bounded as follows. Beginning at 2 locusts on the bank of the River at the mouth of A Branch thence S 63o E 16 poles to a stake in the Lead Mine Road thence up the said Road 80 poles or there about to two large sugar trees on the East side of the Road in the line of the lands of Jas Calfee Decd. with the sd. line 15 Poles to Sicamon [sic] in the bank of the River thence down the River to the Beginning. And further more I do ask the Hon. the Judge of the County Court of Pulaski County Court Virg to appoint some suitable person to execute this the provisions of this my last Will and Testament Signed by me in the Presence of these witnesses this 12th day of July 1875. The last Will and Testament of Elijah Breeding, Deceased, was this day presented into Court proved by the Oaths of Perry Nunn and E. Tom Osborn the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded. And on the motion of Sarah E. Breeding who together with Woodson Cranch as her security entered into and acknowledged a Bond in the sum of One Thousand dollars. And took the several oaths required by Law, she is appointed Administratrix of the said Elijah Breeding Dec.
