Will of Francis Allison, Sr., 1865 Will Book 2 Page 209-210 I Francis Allison, Sr. of the County of Pulaski and the state of Virginia make this my last will and testament, revoking all other by me made heretofore, as follows, to wit: 1st (first) I bequeath all the lands I own above the John Calfee tract, and above Jesse Lindsay's land, known as the Boure(?) (Bourne) land, and also the tract of land upon which William Faris lives, and that upon which James Rogers lately lived, the whole of these several tracts of land, I will to be divided into three equal parcels, one of which parcel I give to William Allison and his wife Mary Ann, A second parcel I will to William Faris and his wife Nancy, the third parcel I will to Charles H. Faris to be ____ & ______his heirs forever. This land is to be divided equally as to quality and quantity. 2nd All my other lands of whatever kind and whatever form I will and bequeath to my nephews the sons of William Allison and Robert Allison of Missouri to be divided equally between them as to quality and quantity. 3rd I direct that out of my personal property a sum of money be made sufficient to pay all the lawyers fees (except five hundred dollars) in the late defense of Francis Allison Jr. in the Windle trial, which said amount I have appraised the payment of. 4th I will Charles H. Faris a two year old gray liver colt. 5th I will William Faris one mare mule 6th I will and bequeath each of my legal heirs not before mentioned in this will the sum of one dollar. 7th After paying all my just debts and funeral expenses, I will and bequeath the remainder of my (my is crossed out) property to my nephews the sons of William Allison and Robert Allison of Missouri, to be equally divided between them 8th I appoint Randal McGavock and Cloyd McGavok my executors.
