OWNERS: Wm. Warner Miller, Washington, Virginia. (1936) DESCRIPTION: This is the family graveyard of Robert Deatherage. The grave markers are rocks found on the farm, hand-carved and shaped. On some it is very difficult to make out the inscriptions. Only initials and dates of death are inscribed. This graveyard is enclosed by a stone fence and lies on the side of a hill behind the house. It is in bad condition, being over-grown with briers, etc. Only one inscription prior to 1860 was legible. The initials “M. D.” stand for Margaret Deatherage, a daughter of Robert Deatherage. M. D.
