Atkins Cemetery Location: On Route #628 – Fodder Stack Road Rappahannock Co., Virginia DATE: 1844. OWNERS: Deatherage. DESCRIPTION: A private cemetery located in the rear of the house. It is enclosed by a wire fence and it has been well cared for. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following inscriptions were copied from the stones: In Memory of Jennie V. Daughter of B. K. & Jane Wood Born Jan’y 1842 Died Jan’y 8, 1882 John Wood Deatherage Born June 7, 1857 Died July 3, 1858 Aged 1 year & 26 days In Memory of John D. Wood Born Oct. 18, 1838 Died Sept. 20, 1836 For me to live is Christ To die is gain In Memory of Burwell K.
