Witnesseth that the said James Connolly and Catherine his wife for & in Consideration of the sum of One thousand two hundred and Fifty Pounds Current money in land paid by the said Coelman before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said James Connolly doth hereby acknowledge and of every part thereof doth hereby forever Acquit and Discharge the said Richard Coelman his heirs Executors and Administrators have Granted Bargained and Sold alienated Transferred Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents the said James Connolly and Catharine his Wife do for themselves their Executors fully and absolutely Grant Sell alien transfer Convey and Confirm unto the said Richard Coelman his heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns forever a certain Tract or parcel of Land about the Quantity of one hundred and seventy five acres be the same more or less (illegible) and lying the aforesaid County of Richmond on the Branches of Totuskey, together with all Houses, Buildings, Gardens Orchards, Trees, Timbers, Fences, Inclosures, Wood, Underwoods, swamps, marshes, meadows, grounds, ways, water, watercourses, Profits, Commodities, Emolluments, Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said hereby Granted parcel or Tract of Land belonging or in any wise appurtaining with all the Rights, Title, Interest, claim and Dem.(?) whatsoever of them the said James Connolly and Catherine his wife of in and to the same and every part there of To have and to hold the said hereby Granted Tract or parcel of Land & promises with all and singular the Rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Richard Coelman his heirs and assigns forever to his & their only proper use and behoof and to none other Use Intent or purpose whatsoever & the said James Connolly doth for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators hereby Covenant promise and grant to with the said Richard Coelman that he the said Richard Coelman his heirs and assigns & every of them shall or may at all times forever hereafter Quietly and peacibly have hold occupy possess and Enjoy the said granted or hereby meant to be granted parcel of Land and promises with all and singular the Rights members and appertenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining and every part and parcel thereof & the same shall & will forever hereafter warrent & forever defend against the Lawfull claim Mollestation Interuption or Demand of him the said James Connolly his heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns and every of them & of every person or persons whatsoever Claiming by from or under him or them or any of them & the said James Connolly doth for himself his heirs Executors Administrators herby further Covenant promise & grant to & with the said Richard Coelman that he the said James Connolly his heirs Executors & Administrators shall & will at all times hereafter when thereunto required make do & Execute or cause to be made done & Executed such further Act or Acts Deeds or Conveyances for the further & more sure Conveying the said hereby granted parcel of Land & promise as unto the said Richard Coelman his heirs Executors Administrators & Assigns so that the same be done at the proper Cost & Charges of him the said Richard Coelman his heirs or Assigns that the said James Connolly & his wife Catharine Shall before some Court to be held for Richmond County Acknowledge these presents with his wife Catharine in a legal manner In Witness whereof the said Parties to these presents have Interchangeably set their hands & seals the day & year first above written. Signed Sealed & delivered in presents of James Connolly James Alderson Joseph Redman Catharine Connolly Moore Bragg Received the day of date of the written Indenture of the within Named Richard Coelman the sum of one thousand two hundred & Fifty Pounds Current money in full satisfaction for the within mentioned granted parcel of Land & premises. James Connolly At A Court held for Richmond County the 2nd day of August 1779. This Deed of Bargain and sale from James Connolly and Catharine his wife of the one part to Richard Coelman of the other part with the Receipt thereon Indorsed was Acknowledged in Open Court by the said James and Admitted to Record. Previous to which the said Catharine being first privately Examined freely relinquished her right of Dower in the premises hereby Conveyed. Test LeRoy Peachey, D. C.
