Crewdson/Fones Deed, 1810 - Richmond Co. VA Deed - William Crewdson to Thomas Fones This Indenture made the Twenty First day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ten between William Crewdson of the County of Fluvanna, Gentleman of the one part, and Thomas Fones of the Parish of Lunenburg in the County of Richmond Planter of the other part, Witnessth that the said William Crewdson for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty pounds seven shillings and eight pence half penny to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Fones at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell unto the said Thomas Fones and his heirs all that Tract or parcel of Land containing by estimation one hundred and thirty-four acres two rood and nine poles--be the same more or less situate lying and being in the County of Richmond near the head of the Beaverdams and adjoining the land of James Coats on the East, by the Land of the late William Fauntleroy dec'd on the South, by the land of John Carter on the West, and by the land of the said Thomas Fones on the North and all houses outhouses, gardens, orchards, ways, waters, water courses, profits, commodities, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the said Tract or parcel of land belonging or in any wise appurtaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders unto issues & profits thereof and every part thereof and all deeds, evidences and willings, touching or in any wise concerning the same. To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of land and premises herein before mentioned or intended to be hereby bargained and sold with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said Thomas Fones his heirs and assigns to the only use and behoof of the said Thomas Fones his heirs and assigns forever and the said William Crewdson for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant promise and agree to and with the said Thomas Fones his heirs and assigns that the premises aforesaid are free from all charges of Quitrents, Taxes or other incumbrances and that the said Thomas Fones may have the same freely and clearly discharged of all such and also that the said William Crewdson and his heirs shall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter on the reasonable request and at the proper costs and charges of the said Thomas Fones, his heirs and assigns make do execute or cause or procure to be made done and execute all such further and other reasonable act and acts, thing and things, devices conveyances and assurances for the better and more perfect conveying and assuring the premises herein before mentioned or intended to be here bargained and sold unto the said Thomas Fones, his heirs and assigns as by the said Thomas Fones his heirs or assigns or his or their councel learned in the Law shall be reasonably devised advised or required in witness where of the parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written-- Sealed and Delivered in the} presence of us} Wm.
