Mrs. Edwin Bryant had the misfortune to have her dwelling
burn down early last Sunday morning. The family retired 
about 12 o'clock and about two hours later were awakened 
by suffocating smoke and the roar of the angry flames 
which had already gained too much headway to be checked 
in their destructive fury. The inmates barely had time 
to escape with their lives and only succeeded in saving 
a few articles of clothing and furniture. It will be 
remembered that Mr. Edwin Bryant, who died very suddenly 
about three weeks ago and mentioned in this paper was 
the husband of Mrs. Bryant who has now sustained this
terrible loss. The origin of the fire is not known. 
Everything went up in smoke without any insurance
