VA Will Book 9, 1794 - 1822 Library of Virginia Microfilm Reel 25 Page 25 In the Name of God Amen I Christopher Deatley of the County of Richmond and Parish of farnham, being in perfect sense and memory, thanks be to Almighty God, do make Constitute ordain and declare this to be my last Will and Testament revoking and annuling all other Will or Wills heretofore made by me Imprimis It's my Will and desire that all my Just Debts and funeral Expences be fully paid at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named Item I Will and bequeath all my Estate either real or personal to my loving wife Elianor Deatley during her natural life and after her decease my Will and desire is that one half of my said Estate go and descend to my dutifull Daughter Elizabeth Ficklin wife of Famous Ficklin, to her and her heirs forever ~ Item I Will and bequeath the other half of my said Estate after the death of my said wife to my other Dutifull Daughter Sarah Hogan wife of Travers Hogan to her and her heirs forever ~ Lastly I do appoint my loving wife Elianor Deatley, Famous Ficklin, Travers Hogan and Richard Beale Executrix and Executors of this my last Will and Testament, as witness my hand this Twenty Seventh day of September One thousand Seven hundred and Ninety three ~ Signed & Delivered in the presence of William Miskell, Richard Beale Christopher (his X mark) Deatley Ezekiel (his X mark) Foster At a Court held for Richmond County the first day of June 1795 This Last Will and Testament of Christopher Deatley decd. was presented in Court by Elinor Deatley the Executrix and Famous Ficklin one of the Executors therein named and being proved in open Court by the oaths of William Miskell and Ezekiel Foster two of the witnesses thereto was admitted to Record - And on the motion of the said Elinor Deatley and Famous Ficklin who took the oath of Executors and entered into Bond with Security according to Law, a Certificate is granted them for obtaining a probate thereof in due form ~ Teste.
