Richmond County, Virginia Will Book 9, 1794 - 1822 Library of Virginia Microfilm Reel 25 Page 27 In the Name of God Amen the 28th day of January one thousand Seven hundred and Ninety five I Charles Jones of the County of Richmond and parish of Northfarnham being very sick and weak of body but of perfect sense and memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same, first and Principally I recommend my soul to Almighty God who gave it me and my Body to be buried in such a decent and Christian like manner as my Executors hereafter mentioned shall think fitt and as to my Worldly Goods which it hath pleased God to bestow on me I Give and dispose as follows - Item, My Will and desire is that all my Just Debts and funeral Charges be first paid & Satisfied - Item, My Will and desire is that all and singular of my Estate be equally divided among my three Children William Jones, John Jones and Elinor Jones at the time my Son William shall arrive to the age of Twenty one years and that he my Son William shall have in his part the two Boy twins Namely James and Sam - And I do hereby appoint my two friends Vincent Bramham and John Porter my whole and Sole Executors of this my last Will and I do hereby revoke and disannul every other Will or Wills be me heretofore made declaring this to be my true last Will - In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seale the day and year first above Written - Signed Sealed & Acknowledged by the said Charles Jones as his last Will in the presence of Benjamin Bramham Charles Jones David Dungan At a Court held for Richmond County the first day of June 1795 This Last Will and Testament of Charles Jones decd. was presented in Court by John Porter one of the Executors therein named and being proved by the Oaths of Benjamin Bramham and David Dungan the witnesses thereto was admitted to Record - And on the Motion of the said John Porter who took the Oath of an Executor and entered into Bond with Security according to Law, A Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form Teste Bartho: McCarty CRC Submitted by Patricia Tanner **************************************************************** USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by any other organization or persons.
