The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Will of Manus McLaughklin written 23-Dec-1709, proved 05-Jul-1710 In the name of God Amen I Manus McLaughlin in the County of Richmond and parish of Fornham being sick and weak in body but of Perfect mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God doe appoint this to be my last will and testament in manner and forme following Revoking all other wills & testaments made or caused to be made or don by me heretofore (Viz)--- Item--- I bequeath my soul to Almighty God who Gave it in dire & certain hope of a Resurrection to Everlasting life through the meritts of my Savior Jesus Christ and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named---- Item--- I give to my five daughters (Viz) Bridgett, Eliz--, Ann, Sarah & Prissilla twenty thousand weight of ƒƒ. Tobacco of my own plantation growth to be equally shared among them share and share alike each to have their part as they attain to the age of eighteen years or day of Marriage----- Item--- My will is my three youngest children have three years Schooling a peice and to be put to school between seven and twelve years old----- 14 I give unto my Dear Wife Eliz-- McLaughlin all the rest residue and Remainder of my personal Estate also I give unto my said Wife all my land dureing her life and after her my s. Wife's dec. to be Equally divided between my Eldest and youngest daughters (Viz.) Bridgett and Prissilla and In case either my said Daughters Bridgett or Prissilla dies without issue lawfully begotten then the part of the decd to be Equally divided among my other three children (Viz.)
