Richmond County, Virginia Will Book 10, 1822 - 1846 Library of Virginia Microfilm Reel 26 Page 99 In the Name of God Amen, I, Joannah Tune being weak in body, But of Sound and perfect mind and memorry thanks be to Almighty God for the Same, do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form is following that is to say; First, I lend and Bequeath, unto my Sister Sarah Tune during her life the foling property to Wit, one negro man name James one negroe Woman named Hannah, and all her future increase: one negroe Girl named Maria and all her future increase; Secondly, I lend and Bequeath unto my Sister Mary Saunders During her life the foling property To Wit, one negroe man name Stephen, one negroe woman name Fanny and all her futere increase one negroe Girl named Mary and all her future increase; Thirdly, I lend and bequeath unto my Sister Catharine Saunders one negroe man named Soloman, one negroe Boy named Ned, one negroe boy named Billy, and one other negroe boy named Gorge one negroe woman named Margara and all her future increase; Forthly, I lend and Bequeath unto my neeace Sarah How, one negroe Girl named Ann during her life; Fifthly I Give and Bequeath unto my Niece Mary Elizabeth Saunders all my Estate both real & personal to her and her heirs forever. And I do hereby appoint Richard Saunders Executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made, In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth Day of October in the year of our Lord, one Thousand eight hundred & twenty five. Witness Leannah Chilton Juannah (my X mark) Tune Frances Neasome Virginia At a Court of quarterly Sessions holden for Richmond County at the Court House thereof, on Monday the 7th day of November 1825 and in the 50th year of the Commonwealth, This Writing Purporting to be the last Will and Testament, of Joanna Tune deceased, was offered for probat by Richard Saunders, by John Campbell his attorney, and on the motion of Thomas Saunders by Augustine Neale his attorney, The same was ordered to lie until next Court, and ordered that the Clerk of this Court issue Subpoenas to the witnesses of the respective parties requiring their attendance here &c And at a Court of Monthly Sessions, continued and held for the said County, at the Court House thereof, on Tuesday the 7th Day of December 1825.
